S7E9 - Anansi-ing Through Life: How Stories Came to Humans

This episode of Greeking Out tells the story of Anansi, a spider trickster from West African folklore, and how he became known as the storyteller. Anansi bargains with Nyame, the Sky God, to buy stories for humanity, agreeing to capture the python Onini, the hornets Umboro, and the forest spirit Mmoatia. Anansi uses his wit and trickery to capture each creature, but Nyame adds a final task: capturing the leopard Osebo. Anansi succeeds, and Nyame grants him all the stories, declaring him Anansi the storyteller. The episode includes interjections from the Oracle, who provides factual information related to the story elements, and concludes with acknowledgments and a promotion for a middle-grade book.
