A Rumor of War

The ongoing conflict between the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran centers on the strategic importance of the Strait of Hormuz and the efficacy of current economic and military pressure. The regime in Tehran remains a hardened, ideological actor that prioritizes survival over economic stability, rendering traditional deterrence and containment strategies increasingly insufficient.
