Season 12 of "Greeking Out" on Nat Geo Kids YouTube channel presents an original adaptation of the Greek myth of Daedalus and Icarus. The episode introduces Daedalus, a talented inventor, artist, and the father of Icarus, who is portrayed as smart but lazy. Daedalus's nephew, Talos, becomes his apprentice but dies mysteriously, leading Daedalus and Icarus to flee to Crete, where they are employed by King Minos. Daedalus designs a dance floor and the labyrinth to contain the Minotaur. After helping Theseus defeat the Minotaur, Daedalus and Icarus are imprisoned in the labyrinth. They escape, and Daedalus creates wings for them to fly away, warning Icarus not to fly too high or too low. Icarus ignores his father, flies too close to the sun, his wings melt, and he falls into the sea. Daedalus lands in Sicily, where he is welcomed by King Cocolus and later solves a puzzle for King Minos, leading to Minos's death. Daedalus creates marvels in Sicily and vows never to fly again.
